What You'll Need:

Your Awesome Crystal DTF Transfer: The star of the show!

Your Blank Item: T-shirt, hoodie, tote bag, you name it! (Make sure it can handle some heat!)

Heat Press: This is key for even, consistent pressure and temperature. (An iron can work in a pinch for small projects, but a press is best!)

Parchment Paper or a Teflon Sheet: To protect your press and your transfer.

A Clean, Flat Surface: For pre-pressing.
Step 1: Preheat & Prep Your Press! 🔥
First things first, let's get your heat press nice and toasty! Set your temperature to 300-325°F (150-160°C). The exact temp might vary slightly based on your specific transfer and blank, so always check any instructions that came with your DTF!
While your press is heating up, lay your blank item on the bottom platen. Give it a quick pre-press for 7 seconds. This does two awesome things:

Removes any wrinkles.

Gets rid of moisture, which can mess with your transfer's adhesion.
Step 2: Position Your Perfect Design! 🎯
Now for the fun part – placing your DTF transfer! Carefully position your transfer sticky-side down onto your pre-pressed blank. Take your time to make sure it's exactly where you want it. Use a ruler if you're super particular about centering!
Pro Tip: If you're worried about your design shifting, use a few small pieces of heat-resistant tape to secure the edges of the transfer. Just make sure the tape isn't covering any part of the design you want to transfer!
Step 3: It's Pressing Time! ⏳
Once your transfer is perfectly placed, cover it with your parchment paper or Teflon sheet. This protects your heat press platen from any ink and ensures an even heat distribution.
Now, close your heat press with medium to firm pressure for 7 seconds.
Step 4: The Peel – Hot or Cold? 🤔
This is where DTF transfers can be a little different! Some DTF transfers are designed for a cold peel, meaning you let the transfer cool completely before peeling off the film. Crystal DTF transfers are made for a hot peel, where you peel immediately after opening the press.
Step 5: The Final Press ✨
After you've peeled the film, your design will look amazing! But for extra durability and a super soft feel, we recommend a quick second press.
Place your parchment paper or Teflon sheet back over your transferred design and press again for 7 seconds. This helps to fully cure the ink into the fabric and gives it a professional finish.
